DaBaby has definitely been of of the biggest breakout artists in the game in 2019. He started to take off with the success of his “Suge” single that dropped this past spring along with his debut album “Baby On Baby.” He soon followed that success up with his second album, “Kirk” which dropped at the end of September. It contained hits such as “Vibez,” and “Intro.”

The BET Hip-Hop Awards are airing tonight and it was revealed that Baby took home the award for Best New Hip-Hop Artist. Among the other candidates were Blueface, Lil Nas X, Megan Thee Stallion, Roddy Ricch, and YBN Cordae. He was definitely in the middle of tough competition as we saw the other five artists create hits as well. Baby collaborated with Megan on her hit single “Cash S*it” as well.
