DaBaby broke out as star in early 2019 with the success of his “Suge” single. This appeared on his debut studio album, “Baby On Baby.” Suge reached the No. 7 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart while Baby On Baby reached seventh as well. The album has since been certified gold by the RIAA and Suge is at 2x platinum status.
Suge continues to be one of the Charlotte rapper’s most popular records today as according to Chart Data, it has officially eclipsed over 1 billion on-demand streams. As of now, the music video on YouTube also has over 257,600,488 views.
After Suge and Baby On Baby was released, he followed up their success with his second album, “Kirk,’ that fall. That debuted at No. 1 and has also gone platinum. This past April, his third studio album, “Blame It On Baby” was released and that was another No. 1 and platinum project.
Baby is also currently in headlines for being sued by a Beverly Hills Marriott employee for being pushed after taking a photo of the rapper and his daughter. This was done out of precaution to protect the location of himself and his daughter.
