DaBaby has been one of the biggest hip-hop stars since early 2019 as it all started with his breakout hit single, “Suge.” That appeared on his debut studio album, “Baby on Baby,” that spring. The Charlotte rapper also dropped his second album that fall with “KIRK.”
“KIRK” was named after Baby’s father who passed away that year. The album itself went on to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart and was led by hits such as “VIBEZ” and the 2021 Grammy-nominated single, “BOP.”
Kirk is still in many listeners’ playlists as it has now reached another RIAA certification. According to Chart Data. It is now platinum in the US. This is after selling 1 million units.
Since KIRK’s release, Baby put out another album in April 2020 with “Blame It On Baby.” Many believe what he will likely put out another album in 2021 as well. Congrats to him for now though on his second platinum album with “KIRK.”
