In 2020, DaBaby had another huge record on his hands with “Rockstar,” featuring Roddy Ricch, who had also just ended an epic 2019 for himself. Rockstar appeared on Baby’s third studio album in April 2020, “Blame It On Baby.” Rockstar wasn’t initially a lead single but ended up being the biggest-fan favorite.

Rockstar went on to reach No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and now, it has reached another impressive milestone. According to Chart Data, this record has accumulated 1 billion on-demand streams in the US.

In addition to this mark, Rockstar is also 4x platinum in the US. The music video for it is also at 129 million views. Baby and Roddy even had a Black Lives Matter remix for this single as it was performed at the 2020 BET Awards.

Rockstar went on to be nominated for three GRAMMYs last month. They were for Best Rap Song, Best Record, and Best Melodic Rap Performance. Overall, Rockstar became one of the most dominant records of the year and its impact is still felt.
