DaBaby’s “Blame It On Baby” Album Hits Platinum Status After Dominant 2020

DaBaby has been one of the most dominant artists in the game over the last two years and 2020 helped prove that. He had another number one album in “Blame It On Baby” in April of that year. It served as his third studio album as it was led by the chart-topping hit single, “Rockstar,” featuring Roddy Ricch.

Blame It On Baby received plenty of positive feedback as it soared to number one on the Billboard 200 chart. It has now reached another key milestone as it is now certified platinum by the RIAA in the US, according to Chart Data. This is after selling 1 million units.

Rockstar has still been the biggest record off of Blame It On Baby as it is 5x platinum in the US. Other singles from the album were “Find My Way,” “No Dribble” feat. Stunna 4 Vegas, “Peephole,” and “Blind” feat. Young Thug. Appearances on Blame It On Baby, including the deluxe edition, include Quavo, Megan Thee Stallion, Ashanti, Young Thug, NBA Youngboy, and more.

The Charlotte rapper was also nominated for four GRAMMYs in March. He didn’t score any wins but four nominations in total was a symbol of how huge he’s been as an artist since his breakout 2019
