Despite being one of the better players, in the NBA, Damian Lillard is always in the shadow of other players. Much of this is because his Portland Trail Blazers are a fringe playoff team. Very rarely are they a higher-seeded team, in the playoffs.
Damian Lillard, a few years ago, said his goal was for the Blazers to have a 50-win season, and to make it to the Conference Finals. Last year, they did just that. They won 53 games, beating the Thunder and Nuggets, before being swept by Golden State in the Conference Finals.
Having the experience of the Conference Finals was great, last season, for Damian Lillard. That was last year, though, and the Portland Trail Blazers have been outside of the playoff picture, all year, adding Carmelo Anthony for an extra spark. The NBA season was shutdown, and brought back in Orlando, for the bubble, where Dame dropped 61 points over the Dallas Mavericks, with Dame quoting Birdman to “put some respect on my f*cking name,” after the win.
