Few movements will have the organization and success that Roc-A-Fella Records had from 1998 until 2004. This all happened because of the leadership of the label boss, Damon Dash. Under his watch, the company went from being a crew of street dudes to being a crew of multimillionaires.
Initially, Kanye West received his inital support from Damon Dash. But, once his talent caught Jay-Z’s attention, they formed the bond they hold to this day. Many have criticized this relationship, but Damon Dash holds no ill will towards anyone with how it turned out.
However, Damon Dash spoke to DJ Self and the homie DJ Superstar Jay about something he does have a problem with on Shade 45. Damon Dash came alongside the dude, Sen City, to Shade 45 and they spoke on a lot. But, Dame had issues with Kanye West not reaching out to Biggs, the Roc co-founder, since he’s been in prison.
