DatPiff denies rumors that their website has permanently shut down; Reveals that technical issues have been occurring on the site and app

DatPiff denies rumors that their website is shutting down

On Monday night, rumors circulated that the legendary mixtape streaming platform, DatPiff, shut down. This comes after fans noticed that many of the functions on the website and app weren’t working anymore. Difficulties playing the mixtapes on the platform also became an issue. As a result, fans took to Twitter to post “RIP DatPiff” tweets, and explain how much the platform meant to them, since it was created, way back in 2005.

However, DatPiff is now denying that the platform is no more. They took to their Twitter feed late Monday night, to reveal that they’ve been experiencing technical issues on their website and app. Those are being worked on, as their content on YouTube is still working properly.

“Despite the rumors, we are happy to report that we will still be supplying you with all the mixtapes you love. We’re working through technical issues on our site and app, but still actively update our youtube! Thanks for all the love and concerns but we promise, we are still here.”

In 2023, fans have continued to use DatPiff to stream many of their favorite and classic mixtapes. Many of these projects still aren’t on streaming platforms such as Apple Music and Spotify. Therefore, fans use DatPiiff is an outlet to experience that nostalgia.
