Dave Chappelle has been back to doing his stand-up comedy shows around the country since last summer. He’s done a great job of social distancing seats, implementing mask rules, and rapidly testing audience members. This is something that all venues should be doing now to bring crowds back to events without interrupting life.
Chappelle has been in Austin, TX this week has he has five shows in total. According to TMZ, he tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday. On Wednesday, the legendary comedian does not have any symptoms but is now quarantining. Earlier this week, Chappelle was seen with Joe Rogan, Elon Musk, and Grimes.
The other shows in Austin were scheduled to take place on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The final two shows were set to include Rogan as well but they have now been canceled. Refunds have since been refunded to buyers.
