There have been talks about J. Cole wanting to try to make an NBA roster next season considering the fact that he was a walk on at St. John’s University but never played due to shifting his focus to music. Now, Dave East (real name David Brewster) is showing that he could possibly be in the league too.

The Harlem rapper played at University of Richmond in 2006-07 and then at Towson University as a transfer in 2008-09 and 2009-2010. He also shifted his focus to hip-hop but then, he got into some trouble off the court. In the end though, he is currently one of the best lyricists in hip-hop and also signed to Nas’ Mass Appeal record label.

East took to Instagram this weekend to show off his highlights from when he was at Towson and he was giving dudes the business for sure. His caption read “Stop Asking Me About Basketball. I Was Nice When N*ggas Was Doodoo. Best Of Both Worlds N*gga. Alotta Pain.. @espn.”

East didn’t reveal any NBA plans at the moment like Cole but many feel that he could have a shot. He hasn’t played an organized game in 10 years but getting a tryout with a team could at least be possible. Check out his highlights at Towson below.
