Davido’s son passes away after drowning in Nigeria 

Davido has been one of the biggest Nigerian artists in the world, over the past several years. His third studio album, “A Better Time,”  was released in 2020, and took him to even higher stardom. That project contained 17 tracks, as Davido collaborated with Chris Brown, Nas, Lil Baby, Nicki Minaj, and more, on that project.

However, Davido is receiving devastating news, as his 3-year-old son, Ifeanyi, passed away, on Monday, according to The Guardian Nigeria. This is reportedly due to drowning at a family swimming pool. As a result, eight domestic workers who were working at the home, are now being questioned by police.

This incident reportedly took place at Davido’s parents’ home in Lagos, Nigeria, as police are also looking into what may have caused the child to drown. The child ended up passing away, at a local hospital.

“His death is confirmed. His (Davido’s) domestic workers have been brought in for questioning and anybody found not culpable will be allowed to go immediately,” said Lagos police public affairs officer Benjamin Hundeyin said. “About eight of them were brought in to narrate their version of what happened to assist us in getting what really happened.”

But, Davido has yet to speak on his son’s passing. He has two other children, which are daughters.
