Day 26 celebrates 15 year anniversary with reunion album.

Day 26 is back from a hiatus to celebrate 15 years since their debut. Day 26 consists of members Willie Taylor, Robert Curry, Brian Angel, Qwanell Mosley and Micheal McCluney. The classic RnB group took to Instagram to post an update via Willie Taylor’s page.

Day 26 made their way to fame from Diddy’s show Making The Band in 2007. The show was a competition with the winner’s landing a record deal with Diddy’s label Bad Boy. The show was a classic with 4 seasons and 3 groups created during the show run. An all girl group  Danity Kane and a mixed group Da Band also landed record deals during the series.

Day 26 had a phenomenal music journey, winning the hearts and ears of fans everywhere. The group’s first album debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 in 2008. The group also won best group at the 2009 BET Awards and an American Music Awards nomination in 2009. Although the group was headed in the right direction,  they dealt with management issues and low album sales. Member Qwanell Mosley left the group due to new management eventually leading to the demise of Day 26.

Day 26 did come back to the stage recently giving fans hope of a reunion. Last year they did a reunion concert at SOBS in NYC shocking people everywhere. Day 26 made a lasting impression in the music world, a reunion from the iconic group is overdue.
