Props to the New Orleans Pelicans, even though they keep coming to Charlotte and beating the Hornets in the closest of games. And, we’re not even going to get into the whole Anthony Davis, thing. The bottom line is that they got a nice roster.
Finally, a full season of Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins was going to show the world something. Just when the Twin Towers were finding their groove, it all fell apart. Last week, Boogie went down, and the Pelicans are back to the old days.
Dell Demps went out and made some moves, though. He gave up some members of the Pelicans’ bench to acquire Nikola Mirotic, in another trade with the Chicago Bulls, and created space to sign Greg Monroe. Now, all of a sudden, Pelicans fans love their head of basketball operations.
