Former NBA player Delonte West unfortunately continues to deal with various struggles, including mental health. A few weeks ago, he was arrested for trespassing and fleeing from law enforcement, in Fairfax, VA. This comes as West has been battling homelessness. In this October 15 incident, he was seen trespassing into a car. West soon attempted to flee from police, and went on to be charged with vehicle trespassing, entering a vehicle, fleeing from law enforcement and drunk in public.

However, another incident occurred on October 29, per TMZ. According to the Fairfax County Police Department, a call came in around 3:47PM, about West being drunk and “lying next to a car with an open door.” As a result, police went on to arrest him for being drunk in public, and was taken to a hospital to be evaluated. West was charged with misdemeanor intoxication in public.

Back in June, West was able to secure a job with a flooring company, in Fairfax. This appeared to be a sign that he was turning his life around, but unfortunately, appears to still be struggling with his previous battles.

West had spent eight years in the NBA, from 2004-2012. He played for teams such as the Celtics, SuperSonics, Cavaliers, and Mavericks. Mavs owner Mark Cuban attempted to get West help in rehab, in 2020.
