Demetrius Shipp, Jr. will be starring in #TalesonBET when it returns with an adaption of Method Man’s “All I Need” with Mary J. Blige

The year of 2017 has been another great year for people of color, representing hip hop, on television. Both Irv Gotti and 50 Cent have successful shows on primetime and the world didn’t end. In fact, both gentlemen have shows on BET.

Through “Tales,” Irv Gotti has given acting roles to Compton Menace and Maino, among many more. He launched “Tales” doing a remake of the controversial NWA single, “F The Police.” That episode ended with a lynched Brody Jenner, to D’Angelo’s “How Does It Feel.”

After only three episodes, “Tales” came to an abrupt end, set to return in October. Though it doesn’t seem like it, that’s only a few weeks away and filming has begun. One of the early return episodes is a remake of Method Man and Mary J. Blige’s “All I Need,” which will star Demetrius Shipp, Jr., the star of theĀ All Eyez on Me film.
