During the summer, Demi Lovato overdosed, and nearly lost her life. It was an intense time period and Demi ended up being checked into rehab, where she spent most of 2018. Late in the year, a sober Demi returned, ready to get back on track.
Demi Lovato remained in good spirits, and a fan favorite, until very recently. Her downfall came when she jumped into the 21 Savage controversy. People assumed London, when they heard he was originally from the UK.
However, the meme Demi Lovato shared ended up getting the most backlash, of all the memes shared. The backlash was so rough on her, that she deleted her IG. Now, The Shade Room says Demi Lovato checked herself back into rehab, going back to Hawaii, over it.
