In a month, “Empire” returns with the second part of season three. For those who forgot what was going on, “Empire” ended in December 2016 with Lucious (Terrence Howard) setting Angelo (Taye Diggs) up. When the season began, Angelo was introduced as a mayoral candidate.
Lucious was all for Angelo, even endorsing his campaign. That was, until he saw he was falling for Cookie (Taraji P. Henson). Despite his backslide with Anika (Grace Gealey), Lucious fought to destroy their relationship. He teamed up with Angelo’s mom (Phylicia Rashad) to do so
There was other drama with Jamal (Jussie Smollett) coming to terms with being an addict, Andre (Trai Byers) and Nessa (Sierra McClain), and Hakeem (Bryshere “Yazz” Gray) getting back with Tiana (Serayah). Now, a new cast member has been introduced. Demi Moore joins a long list of celebrities, including Patti LaBelle, to play on “Empire,” as she is a scheming nurse, who debuts in the season finale.
