Detroit Pistons Invite J. Cole For Tryout After Master P Said Cole Wants To Try To Make it To NBA

Over the weekend, Master P revealed to TMZ that J. Cole is serious about wanting to try out for NBA teams next season. This comes after the two recently released a Puma commercial together where they discussed him actually trying to make it to the league. Cole also released his own pair of Puma sneakers last weekend as well.

Cole played basketball when he was younger and was briefly a walk-on at St. John’s University in Queens, NY. Now, he may be getting an opportunity for an NBA tryout soon. The Detroit Pistons invited him for one as they tweeted a photo of his name on their jersey with the caption:

.”@JColeNC we see you out here. You said they only got 12 slots on the Pistons. Hit us up for that tryout. This is for all the dreamers. @bleacherreport #Dreamville.”
The tweet was in response to the Master P comments and Bleacher Report posting a video of Cole getting some shots up at a gym. It’ll be interesting to see if this tryout in Detroit actually goes down and if other NBA teams are interested as well. In the meantime, Cole is preparing to complete his ‘The Fall Off’ album. Last month, he released two tracks from this project in “The Climb Back” and “Lion King On Ice.”
