Did Big Sean steal “IDFWU” from XO Muzik? Watch and decide [VIDEO]

Last year, Big Sean more than made up for a relatively silent year with the release of “IDFWU,” featuring E-40. The song became a breakout hit for Big Sean and has yet to slow down. Many thought Big Sean was dissing his ex, Naya Rivera, on the track.

Big Sean denied this and actually said they were together and happy when the song was recorded. If this song was recorded after March 22, 2014, however, it is likely Big Sean or his people “borrowed” the track. A similar song from XO Muzik was released early in 2014.

XO Muzik also has a song called “IDFWU,” which predates the Big Sean hit by at least six months. The instrumental on both songs sound very similar, with Big Sean’s being much faster, but it’s a similar sound. Lyrical content is also different, but Big Sean is clearly inspired by the chorus, as his “YOUU” on the hook is identical to XO Muzik’s offering.
