Diddy donates $1 million to Howard University
Various homecoming events are taking place this weekend, across various colleges and universities in the United States. One of those included is Howard University, which is one of the biggest HBCUs in the nation.
As a result, on Friday night, Howard alumni Diddy delivered a performance at the university’s Yardfest homecoming event. In addition to the show, he also made a huge donation to Howard. This in the amount of $1 million, as Diddy was pictured holding a very large check.
“A monumental moment at Yardfest!” said Howard President Ben Vinson III on Twitter. “Thank you, @Diddy, for your incredible generosity and support of Howard University. Your million-dollar contribution will make a profound impact on our students and community. We’re honored to have you as a part of our Bison family.”
Meanwhile, Diddy’s contributions to Howard University this weekend also comes after he released a new album, last month. This is “The Love Album: Off The Grid.” This project was released under his new Love Records label imprint, as it contained plenty of star-studded collaborations. These included features from Summer Walker, The Weeknd, 21 Savage, Mary J. Blige, Justin Bieber, Coco Jones, and much more.
