Diddy apologizes after 2016 video of him assaulting Cassie leaked

On Friday, CNN obtained footage of Diddy assaulting Cassie at a Los Angeles hotel, back in March of 2016. This wass inside the InterContinental Hotel in Century City. At the time, Diddy and Cassie had been on-and-off as a couple since 2007.

Moreover, this footage comes after Cassie sued Diddy, last fall, for sexual assault and physical abuse. This cited various instances of these disturbing situations, as Cassie went on to settle this lawsuit, a day later.

Meanwhile, Diddy has now issued a public apology in a video posted to social media, on Sunday morning. There, he claimed that he was hitting rock bottom, at the time, and needed to go to rehab. Furthermore, he emphasized how horrible he felt after that incident, and seeing the video now.

 “I was f*cked up — I hit rock bottom — but I make no excuses. My behavior on that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. I was disgusted then when I did it. I’m disgusted now. I went and I sought out professional help, I got into going to therapy, going to rehab. I had to ask God for his mercy and grace. I’m so sorry. But I’m committed to be a better man each and every day. I’m not asking for forgiveness. I’m truly sorry.”
