Diddy gives former Bad Boy Records artists their publishing rights
Diddy has been trending on social media on Monday, due to a very surprising move he made, in regards to helping his former Bad Boy Records artists. According to TMZ, he is making sure some of his former Bad Boy Records artists get their publishing rights back.
Furthermore, Diddy also reportedly durn down an offer in the nine-figure range, which includes hundreds of millions of dollars, for these publishing rights. Among the artists who are receiving these publishing rights are Faith Evans, The Lox, 112, Mase, as well as the estate of the late Notorious B.I.G. A few days ago, Cam’ron first revealed on Instagram that Mase got his publishing, as Mase is also his “It Is What It Is” show co-host on YouTube.
In addition to these former Bad Boy artists receiving their publishing, former Bad Boy songwriters are also finally getting theirs. Diddy is also said to have decided to do this in order to change how certain business is done in the music industry.
Meanwhile, Diddy has also been pushing his Love Records label. On September 15, he is also releasing his “The Love Album: Off The Grid” project. That’ll feature Diddy, Summer Walker, H.E.R, 21 Savage, Burna Boy, and more.
