Anyone who grew up in the 1990s and the 2000s knows who Shaquille O’Neal is and they probably own a few of his jerseys. It’s hard to not be inspired and entertained by the iconic retired NBA star. This is what made it even more painful for a disabled man from Detroit who found himself teased by Shaq.

Unfortunately for the man, photos of him went viral with Waka Flocka Flame even joining in on the joke. For someone born this way and wishing things were different, as it is, this can be very painful. It turns out, the people joking on Jahmel Ninion had no idea he was actually disabled.

Returning to Fox 2 after his initial interview, Jahmel Ninion talked to the channel about life since coming forward. They had no idea the photo was real and he received apologies. Shaquille O’Neal has always tried to be a positive figure and he lived up to this by making the first apology via phone.
