DJ Drama and Lil Wayne To Release ‘Dedication 7’ Mixtape in 2021

Yesterday was Lil Wayne’s 38th birthday. The hip-hop world celebrated one of the best to ever do it. DJ Drama also shouted Wayne out on Instagram as well and it came with a special announcement.

Drama said that the seventh installment of their “Dedication” mixtape series will be released sometime in 2021. The first one was released almost 15 years ago. The sixth Dedication was also released close to three years ago on Christmas Day 2017. This mixtape series has since been regarded as a classic in hip-hop.

Wayne has had an amazing 2020 for himself in general as back in January, he released his 13th studio album, “Funeral.” This debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart and was led by the “I Do It” single featuring Big Sean and Lil Baby. This month, he finally made his classic 2019 “No Ceilings” mixtape from 2009 on all streaming platforms. Last Friday, the deluxe edition for 2018’s “Tha Carter V” album as it contained 10 additional tracks with features from Raekwon, Gucci Mane, Post Malone, and 2 Chainz. He also received over nine new platinum plaques for songs and albums this weekend.
