DJ Drama talks Lil Wayne’s “Dedication 4” mixtape

Yesterday, Lil Wayne revealed, via Twitter, the fourth installment of his Dedication mixtape series would soon be on the way. After the release of Tha Carter II, Lil Wayne stopped releasing albums and began releasing mixtapes. Lil Wayne turned to DJ Drama to host these mixtapes and soon became the hottest rapper in the game, leading to his comeback album going triple platinum.

Currently, Lil Wayne is preparing I Am Not A Human Being 2, the follow-up to his 2011 album, Tha Carter IV and the sequel to his second 2010 album, I Am Not A Human Being. In between his new albums, Lil Wayne plans to give the streets new material. Before the release of his last album, Wayne delivered his Sorry 4 Tha Wait mixtape.

With Dedication 4 mixtape on the way, DJ Drama discussed how the new project is being set up, revealing a conversation he had with Cortez Bryant. DJ Drama revealed there has been talk of the fourth installment for some time. There were rumors, at one point, about the latest Dedication being saved to be a new Lil Wayne album.
