Best-known for helping to produce talent in Atlanta through his mixtapes, DJ Drama is a native of Philadelphia. Most recently, DJ Drama accepted an A&R position with Atlantic Records. Currently, DJ Drama is working with Young Thug and some of the other rising talents in Atlanta.
All of this is a far cry from where DJ Drama began when he was in college in Atlanta when he first started out. Along the way, DJ Drama helped mold T.I., Young Jeezy, and many others to superstar status. Since then, DJ Drama has worked with Que and many more.
This morning, DJ Drama stopped by Power 105.1 to talk to “The Breakfast Club,” which also appears on Revolt TV. Charlamagne Tha God, Angela Yee, and DJ Envy talked to DJ Drama about his Atlantic Records position, working with Young Thug and Que, the Atlanta hip hop scene as a whole, and also about his past issues with DJ Envy.
