Classic mixtapes, classic albums, classic songs, classic work ethic, man it’s hard not to admire DJ Drama as a fellow DJ. He is doing what most DJs in hip hop dream of doing, working with all the top talents in the game and getting a record label job. He holds an executive position at Atlantic Records.
Outside of working for Atlantic Records, DJ Drama has his The Academy DJ coalition that is getting a lot of notice. But, when it comes to the music, DJ Drama is back working with Jeezy and working with fellow Philly native, Meek Mill. This work comes while DJ Drama is working on his new album, Quality Street Music 2.
DJ Drama is on the Under The Influence of Music tour and Hip Hop Since 1987 caught up with him when he visited Philadelphia. Here, DJ Drama explained his role with Atlantic Records, his DJ Coalition, Jeezy, Meek Mill, and the new album. Right now, DJ Drama is putting in a lot of work.
