DJ Drama tells Vlad TV he wants Rakim to win ‘Rapper of the Year’ at 2012 BET Hip Hop Awards [VIDEO]

Widely considered the best rapper of all-time is Rakim, who has managed to stand the test of time, as many current rappers love his music. 50 Cent has often rapped about Rakim being his favorite rapper of all-time. This is the case for many of the biggest rappers in the game. Apparently, the same can be said for DJ Drama.

At the 2012 BET Hip Hop Awards, a lot of controversy took place. Things started out on a positive note, as 50 Cent and Fat Joe put their long-standing feud to rest after seven years. However, there was a much different fate for Young Jeezy and Rick Ross. DJ Drama witnessed the fight and he would soon tell his side of the story.

DJ Drama would also speak to Vlad TV in the middle of the frenzy. During his brief conversation with Vlad TV, DJ Drama would discuss the ‘Rapper of the Year’ award. In addition to speaking on the death of Chris Lighty and the Brooklyn Nets, DJ Drama said he wants Rakim to win the ‘Rapper of the Year’ nod.
