Much like Rick Ross, DJ Khaled often stars each year with announcing his new album for the year. Since 2006, with the exception of 2009, DJ Khaled has released a new album every year. In 2012, DJ Khaled announced his Kiss The Ring album and soon released the lead single, “Take It to the Head.”

Released in March, “Take It to the Head” became one of 2012’s first summer anthems, boasting a talented lineup. Each of 2012’s biggest artists were featured on the single that would become a hit. Chris Brown, Rick Ross, Nicki Minaj, and Lil Wayne would be the featured guests.

Closing in on one year since “Take It to the Head” was released, DJ Khaled has a bit of good news for his collaborators. Showing no signs of slowing down, DJ Khaled received something that should put a smile on his face. This morning, the RIAA confirmed that DJ Khaled’s “Take It to the Head” has gone gold.
