Much credit is owed to DJ Khaled for the impact he has had on the game, over the past decade. Even though Khaled debuted in 2006, most people never heard of him until “We Takin’ Over” in 2007. That record, featuring Akon, T.I., Rick Ross, Birdman, and Lil Wayne, put him on.
Before doing his own music, the Miami-based DJ Khaled made tons of cameos in Fat Joe and Terror Squad music videos. Now, he has countless of his own videos. On top of that, Khaled’s We The Best label is partnered with Epic Records and Jay Z is managing him.
With his popularity at an all-time high, DJ Khaled aligned himself with the right people. In hip hop, it gets no bigger than Jay Z, who is featured on DJ Khaled’s “Shinin'” single, alongside Beyonce, his wife. Now, DJ Khaled has a new business deal with WeBuyGold, where he is the creative director, and will star in “The Bless Up,” an Instagram series, with them.
