Improving upon the template he was handed has made DJ Khaled into arguably the biggest DJs in history. Picking up where DJ Kay Slay, DJ Clue, and DJ Drama left off, DJ Khaled was able to expand his movement. Six albums and a record label later, the game is owned by DJ Khaled in many ways.

Currently, it is DJ Khaled breathing new life into Cash Money Records. During the summer of 2012, DJ Khaled brought Ace Hood and the rest of We the Best over. Even with his label deal, DJ Khaled works with everyone in the game. “I Did It For My Dawgs” serves as evidence, as Rick Ross, Jadakiss, Meek Mill, and French Montana are on it.

A major challenge for DJ Khaled was transitioning this single into video form. Given the schedules of each rapper on the track, a video proved to be difficult. But, DJ Khaled proved to be persistent. DJ Khaled previewed the music video for the single on BET’s hit series, “106 & Park.”
