DJ Khaled scores gold plaque for Drake-assisted #ForFree summer anthem [PHOTO]

DJ Khaled 31The past year has seen DJ Khaled truly turn another corner. During the promo for his last album, I Changed A Lot, DJ Khaled turned his positiveness up to the next level. He had a lot to celebrate, as he finally landed the Jay Z feature, but he was disappointed, deep down.

Wanting to truly establish himself as a top artist in the game, DJ Khaled wasn’t getting that type of respect. But, he kept working and vented, positively, via Snapchat, and changed his life. Now, Khaled is managed by Jay Z, partnered with Epic Records, and his label is doing well.

Outside of his own music, Major Key due next week, DJ Khaled’s whole label, We The Best, is doing well. Kent Jones has taken over the summer and Ace Hood is hard at work. Meanwhile, DJ Khaled has gone gold with “For Free,” featuring Drake, while he has singles coming with Nas, Kendrick Lamar, and Big Sean.
