Kanye West made a major splash when he returned to the rap game, this past spring. DJ Khaled has become one of hip hop’s biggest voices, literally. It was only right for DJ Khaled to usher Kanye West back in, being featured on the song initially titled “Theraflu.” Before everything was set, the title of the song would change twice, currently named “Cold.”
DJ Khaled and Kanye West have dominated the summer of 2012, separately. Both have been enjoying the fruits of their labor. Cash Money Records completed their deal with DJ Khaled’s record label, We the Best, making Ace Hood a YMCMB artist. Meanwhile, Kanye West has watched his investments in Big Sean and Pusha T pay off.
A few weeks ago, DJ Khaled completed the video for “I Wish You Would,” which also features Rick Ross. The surprise at the end of the video is Kanye West’s “Cold” video, taken from his upcoming album, Cruel Summer. DJ Khaled easily had hip hop’s most-discussed video, when Kim Kardashian made an appearance in the music video.
FUSE TV recently caught up with DJ Khaled and he discussed the music video, saying the initial plan was just for he “I Wish You Would” video to be filmed. Since having Kim Kardashian in his video, DJ Khaled has discussed this music video with several media outlets.
