Before this recent “king of New York” debate, DJ Khaled had ensured himself to be the center of discussion. Suffering from Success is due right before the official end of the summer on September 24. Even with “No New Friends” being a moderate success, it did not seem like past DJ Khaled summers.
When DJ Khaled began the promotion of “I Wanna Be With You,” he proposed to his label-mate, Nicki Minaj. A lot of people felt like the proposal was a joke, especially with the music MTV chose to play. Still, the people continued to talk about DJ Khaled no matter how they felt.
DJ Khaled recently called into Houston’s 97.9 and he talked about Suffering from Success, which led to “I Wanna Be With You” and the proposal. Explaining his promotional methods, DJ Khaled ended up speaking on Fat Joe and 50 Cent. Praising the G-Unit leader on Instagram, Khaled says he has no beef and focuses on his work.
