Just a few years ago, DJ Mustard was DJ-ing local events in LA for $500. A year and some change later, DJ Mustard joined Jay Z’s entertainment firm, Roc Nation. Represented by the best in the business followed two undeniable hits.
DJ Mustard produced “Rack City” for Tyga, making him a priority artist on Young Money. He would lace longtime collaborator, YG, with “My Hitta,” featuring Rich Homie Quan and Young Jeezy. That single would become Def Jam’s biggest record of 2013.
Recently, DJ Mustard stopped by Shade 45 to speak to Sway on “Sway In The Morning.” They would discuss the falling out he and YG had, last year, and how they repaired their relationship. Mustard also discussed Rihanna, for whom he produced “Needed Me.”
