Famed producer, DJ Premier has been working with the all-time greats since they were newcomers. Back then, he was also a newcomer, trying to build his own weight. But, he was there, early, when Nas was building his name, the same with Jay-Z.
DJ Premier earned the right to be called a legend, as he has continued working with the major figures. Up-and-coming artists look at getting a beat from Preemo as the ultimate comeup. All of this is because of the situations he’s been a part of.
Recently, DJ Premier paid Hot 97 a visit, where he discussed some of his classic moments. He told some classics about Jay-Z, Nas, RZA, and a more-recent legend in J. Cole. With Gang Starr back with their first album, in a generation, he also spoke on their beginnings.
