Even as much as hip hop grows and transitions, it is good to see figures from past generations still have a place in the game. Hip hop has changed tremendously since 1988, but DJ Premier continues to remain a presence in the game. He recently joined forces with the popular, Royce Da 5’9 and they released their PRhyme project.

DJ Premier got his start back in the late 1980s with Gang Starr. The group had a strong run that went well into the 1990s. A comeback was in the works in 2009-2010, but all of this changed when Guru died in 2010 and Solar talked to Hip Hop Vibe about this back in May of 2013.

Snoop Dogg is back at his GGN News Network and he hosted DJ Premier in his latest episode. Two hip hop veterans, DJ Premier talked to Snoop Dogg about Gang Starr and his history in the game. He went on to speak on his recent work with Royce Da 5’9 on their joint project, PRhyme.
