Maybach Music has been on a rapid expansion, which began in 2011. Among the artists who were signed to the label included Wale, Meek Mill, and Stalley. However, there were many other signings, including the addition of Atlanta’s DJ Scream. Since joining Maybach Music, DJ Scream has hosted mixtapes from several artists under the MMG banner.

DJ Scream has enjoyed an incredible run in the early part of 2012. Rick Ross failed to release his highly-anticipated album, God Forgives, I Don’t, in 2011. When the album was not released on December 13, Rick Ross promised he would release a mixtape to hold fans over. Not even a week into the New Year, Rick Ross delivered Rich Forever, which has been a record-breaking project.

Hosted by DJ Scream, Rich Forever has had over 10 million downloads in less than five months of circulation, easily a mixtape record. With arguably the biggest mixtape in history under his belt, DJ Scream is now preparing for the major league. The Maybach Music DJ revealed to Sway Calloway on “Sway in the Morning” for Shade 45 that he is working on his debut album, Long Live The Hustle.
