There was a lot of time that passed in hip hop without any contribution from DMX, period. One part of the problem was not being able to land a release date, the other problem was DMX’s legal issues. For over three years, DMX found himself in and out of jail for various reasons.
Determined to restore his image in the media, and with his family, DMX got himself clean when he was free and began performing. Constantly on the road, DMX rebuilt his buzz. With DMX out there so frequently, anticipation began building for his next release, which led to the May 15 release of The Weigh In.
DMX has enjoyed the success of his new EP and now he is preparing to go on tour in promotion of the project he recently released.
