Since his prison release, DMX has been hard at work on his comeback album. The game has changed since DMX’s 1998 entrance and even since his 2006 departure. During his run, DMX competed, and won against, many of the best rappers ever. Hip hop entered a sharp decline, in the eyes of many, following 2006. In recent years, many feel hip hop has been on a comeback.

This comeback has been credited to the success of Rick Ross and Drake, among many others. With these rappers taking the place of veterans, such as DMX, hip hop media often wonders how they feel about the rise of these artists. For the most part, Rick Ross and Drake have been welcomed with open arms and even have landed high-profile collaborations from the legends.

DMX, however, is unimpressed by Rick Ross and is standing by his 2011 comments of disliking Drake. In his interview with Power 105.1’s “The Breakfast Club,” DMX also continues his feud with Jay-Z, having nothing but negative things to say about his former rhyming partner. Many close to them, during their powerful run, said they never got along.
