No artist ever came into the game with the type of intensity DMX did. When he was first introduced, DMX was one third of the Murder Inc. group, alongside Jay-Z and Ja Rule. It was no question, after listening to DMX’s gritty lyrics, he was the one bringing the murder to that incorporation.
Unfortunately, beef led to the group never fully realizing their potential, but there is still a major fan base for them. What DMX did manage to do was have a very successful solo career, releasing many albums early in his career. Since, DMX has only released one album and that was in 2012, but he continues to play a big role in hip hop.
DMX came into the game with the Ruff Ryders and they helped him land with Def Jam. He was only on the management roster, but DMX manaded to still be their flagship artist. After all these years and overcoming his shortcomings, DMX is still here and he gave Ruff Ryders a major shoutout on his Instagram for all they did for him.
