As the 2010s are now coming to a close, the love and nostalgia for the 1990s, which built in the 2000s, have only intensified. The 1990s was a transitional era, where an entire culture shifted. This era saw music go through many changes.
In hip hop, many new artists took over and forever changed the game, among them DMX. Emerging on the heels of Tupac’s death, X’s look and his hardcore style earned him many comparisons. Truly, DMX is an artist of his own, though.
The greatness of DMX is often overlooked by the constant praise of fellow living legends, Jay-Z and Nas. But, DMX also deserves an in on that conversation. On Twitter, DMX is the trending topic, with the #dmxchallenge, as “What They Really Want,” with Sisqo, is the focus of the challenge.
Several women have taken to social media to live out that song’s lyrics with their own IG pics, which the fellas definitely appreciate.
