It’s been a very scary situation for DMV since Friday night as he was hospitalized for a drug overdose that triggered a heart attack. He has since been put on life support with little brain activity. His attorney went on to say that DMX was able to breathe on his own and not be needed on life support but he ended up receiving wrong information. DMX was originally said to have been in a “vegitative state” with some brain activity.
According to TMZ, DMX’s family has began flying in town to see him. He is hospitalized in White Plains, NY. His wife, Desiree Lindstrom, and his mom, Arnett Simmons, are among the two in ICU at DMX’s side. Some of his children are also expected to come as well.
Even with what’s tragically happening, DMX’s family is still reportedly maintaining hope that everything will work out in the legendary rapper’s favor. They hope the inflammation he’s going through will ease and his heart will heal as well. As of now, the situation is still being labeled as “not good.” Steve Rifkind, DMX’s manager, has since said to TMZ that they ask people to “Please pray for him.”
