DMX’s Family Warns Public of Scammers Who Are Trying To Raise Money For His Funeral Even Though They Already Have it Covered; Also Denied Rumor That Jay Z and Beyoncé Bought X’s Masters For His Kids

It’s been almost a week since DMX tragically passed away. On April 2, he suffered a heart attack as he was transported to a White Plains, NY hospital. The legendary rapper was on life support for a week with no improvement in his brain function. That resulted in the difficult decision to take X off of life support.

Arrangements are being made by X’s family for his funeral as now, his family is speaking out. According to TMZ, they are warning people of scammers who claim that they are raising money for the funeral. They are making it known that their funds are completely covered and aren’t raising any money. The family also said that no merchandise are being sold so, anything on the market is unauthorized.

X’s family is also addressing a rumor that has been floating around on social media since the weekend. This is people claiming that Jay Z and Beyoncé bought his masters for $10 million in order to help his 15 children. According to sources close to TMZ, this is also false. They added that X’s masters aren’t tied to Jay Z at all. Some are owned by Def Jam but not by Jay at all.

X is also expected to be honored in his hometown of Yonkers, NY. The Mayor, Mike Spano, also extended the invite to his family of holding the public memorial at Yonkers Raceway.
