DMX’s “Ruff Ryders’ Anthem,” “Party Up,” and “X Gon’ Give It To Ya” Hold First Three Spots on iTunes Top Songs Chart in US

DMX tragically passed away on Friday morning. This is after being in a White Plains, NY hospital for a week while on life support. He was initially taken there after suffering a heart attack. The function of his brain unfortunately didn’t improve at all as the days passed by so, X’s family had to make the difficult decision to take him off of life support.

Fans soon began to create a memorial outside of his hospital for X. Flowers, letters and more were included. Of course, the streaming numbers for the New York rapper are starting to grow significantly as well. Some of his most popular records are now dominating on streaming outlets such as iTunes.

On iTunes in the United States, the currently three spots for the top songs chart are X’s “Ruff Ryders’ Anthem,” “Party Up,” and “X Gon’ Give It To Ya.” These are all classics by X and now, fans have these records on repeat to celebrate him as an artist and as a person.

Ruff Ryders’ Anthem appeared on X’s debut studio album, “It’s Dark and Hell is Hot,” “Party Up” was included on his third studio album, “…And Then There Was X,” and “X Gon’ Give It To Ya” was on the “Cradle 2 The Grave” film soundtrack. These projects that Ruff Ryders’ Anthem and Party Up were two out of five consecutive No. 1 albums for X as well.
