Doechii goes platinum with “What It Is (Block Boy)” single
Doechii had a very impressive breakout 2023, as she earned a major record for herself. That was “What It Is (Blockboy),” which also included a version that featured Kodak Black. As a result, What It Is went on to peak at number 29 in the US, on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Meanwhile, Doechii’s What It Is single has just reached another big milestone. It is now certified platinum in the US, by the RIAA. This comes as a result of selling over 1 million units, according to Chart Data. Moreover, the video for What It Is also currently stands at an impressive 58 million views, on YouTube.
Furthermore, many anticipate that Doechii’s debut studio album could arrive sometime in 2024, as well. The Top Dawg Entertainment artist’s last project came back in August of 2022, Shaun was her “she/her/black b*tch” EP. That contained her buzzing “Persuasive” single, which also contained a feature from fellow TDE label mate SZA, on the remix. Fans have since been impressed with Doechii’s versatility as an artist, as displayed in the singles released by her, over the course of the last two years.
