Doja Cat is one of the biggest stars in music as her “Say So” remix featuring Nicki Minaj became the No. 1 song in the country. This comes after the original version built a lot of momentum from her ‘Hot Pink‘ album that released last fall. Now, it appears that social media is trying to cancel her just as quick as they got her hot as an artist.
The hashtag #DojaIsOverParty has been trending all Friday night due to old an old Islamophobic tweet and being on Tinychat video calls with white supremacists and misogynists less than a week ago. Fans also found out that in 2015, she released a song titled “Dindu Nuffin,” which is a title that mocks victims of police brutality. During these video calls, she even stripped.
Hot Pink debuted at No. 9 on the Billboard 200 and 2020 has seemed very promising for Doja in superstar status so far.
