Doja Cat ties Nicki Minaj for second most platinum songs as female rapper
Doja Cat has been one of the biggest artists in the world, ever since 2020. She began to take off as a star, with the massive success of her 2019 “Say So” single. She soon scored her first number one hit, after the Say So remix with Nicki Minaj was released.
Now, Doja is receiving plenty of more certifications, this weekend. She has reportedly earned 22 more, for songs such as “Juicy” with Tyga, “Need To Know,” “Get Into It (Yuh),” “Kiss Me More” with SZA, Say So and more. Addition gold-certified records for Doja include “Freak,” “Bottom B*tch,” “So High,” “Mooo!”
Doja now has 14 platinum singles, which ties Nicki Minaj for second all-time, for the most as a female rapper. Cardi B has the most in history, with 17.
Doja also revealed that she recently underwent tonsil surgery, after they got infected, before the Billboard Music Awards. This has since resulted Doja in canceling her upcoming festival performances, as well as her performances on The Weeknd’s “After Hours Until Dawn” Tour. This comes a year after Doja released her third studio album, “Planet Her,” which is still the number 13 album in the US.
