Doja Cat’s “Paint The Down Red” returns to number one on Billboard Hot 100

Doja Cat’s “Paint The Town Red” returns to number one in US

Doja Cat has had a huge year, as she went on to release her highly anticipated “Scarlet” album, last month. That was led by singles such as “Attention,” “Demons” and “Paint The Town Red,” as that record went on to reach the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Furthermore, Paint The Town Red also became the first rap song to reach the top of the Hot 100, in 2023. 15 songs were on Scarlet in total, as it had the biggest debut for an album by a female rapper, in Spotify history.

Meanwhile, Paint The Town Red is back on top, once again. As of Monday, it is number one on the Hot 100 chart. This overthrows Drake’s “Slime You Out” single, which features SZA. Moreover, Paint The Town Red is Doja’s longest running number one hit on the Hot 100, which surpasses her “Say So” remix with Nicki Minaj, from 2020, per Chart Data. In addition to this, Paint The Town Red is also longest running solo female rap #1 hit of the decade on the Hot 100.

Doja’s Scarlet Tour also kicks off on October 31. The first show will take place in San Francisco, as the tour will run until December 13. That final date will be held in Chicago. Ice Spice and Doechii will also be special guest performers.
