Doja Cat’s “Paint The Town Red” reaches top of Billboard Hot 100

Last month, Doja Cat released another major hit single, in “Paint The Town Red.” That saw top five debut on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and as now reached another key milestone with it.

As a result, Paint The Town Red has now reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It’s also the first rap single to do this, in 2023. The last rap song to do this was Nicki Minaj’s “Super Freaky Girl,” back in August 2022. The Paint The Town Red video is also at over 39.4 million views on YouTube.

Furthermore, Doja is also releasing her fourth studio album, “Scarlet,” on September 22. Two weeks ago, she also put out her “Demons” single. In June, she also released “Attention,” as that was the time where she emphasized that she wanted to focus on rap records, instead of pop.

Scarlet will be Doja’s first album since the summer of 2021. At the time, that was “Planet Her,” which saw a number two debut on the Billboard 200 chart. That project went on to claim that number two spot for three consecutive weeks.
